Holocaust Memorial Day is on January 27, the date Auschwitz-Birkenau was liberated in 1945. I visited the camp complex in 2010; it was a surreal experience.

7 lessons from BLOGGERCONF

The first BLOGGERCONF was held in the Marker Hotel in Dublin. It brought together brands and bloggers to showcase how to work together effectively. There were talks subjects like social media and brand affiliation; some included inspirational messages of how to keep yourself real and how to build yourself up from the bottom.

All the history, none of the icebergs:  My visit to Cobh and its Titanic legacy

I travelled to Cork for the Irish Blogger Conference and thought I would extend my trip with a visit to nearby Cobh. Cork is over 250 miles from Belfast; the journey is dull, mainly on motorways with four toll bridges and oddly, no traffic lights. I thought it would be best to make the most of a short break.
