Do you have that one place that you travelled to and fell in love with? A place that sweeps you off your feet that you keep returning to again and again?
For me, that place is New York City. It’s difficult to believe that I once tried to fit the city into one night five years ago thinking I would never get the opportunity again.
It is usually the last week of December or the first week of January travel bloggers post their plans for the upcoming year.
I didn’t.
When I spent time living in New York in 2011 (read about my epic first night here), I always found myself taking the subway to Coney Island. I found it a great place to relax, walk around and get lost in the atmosphere. It’s my ‘happy place’ of my favourite city in the world (apart from Belfast, obviously) .
