Hidden in the depths of Northern Ireland’s most beautiful county is Cuilcagh Mountain. So stunning, it could easily be mistaken as part of The Lord of the Rings set. The mountain sits on the border between counties Fermanagh and Cavan and is a UNESCO Global Geopark.

Taphouse is Enniskillen’s newest gastro pub. Previously, Squires, it was well loved for classic dishes and its ‘just out of town with great space for parking’ location.

As are all the overpriced Valentine’s menus promising romantic ambience with that special someone over the Valentine’s period.
I think there’s more to romance than being squeezed into a room where you are touching elbows with the stranger beside you and have you use the torch on your phone to read the menu.
I am not a fan of Hallowe’en – the most excited I get is when I go to the Monster Mash in Titanic Quarter, Belfast for the fireworks. Saying that, it is always fun to get a little creeped out. When browsing the internet earlier, I came across an infographic by Blue Chip Holidays listing the most ‘spooktacular’ places to visit in the UK. I was disappointed to see that Northern Ireland had been bypassed completely. This got me thinking, and I came up with a list of spooky places in my home country.
