So, this week has mostly consisted of work (shocker) and me getting awfully excited about my upcoming trip to New York.
I haven’t planned anything, but I managed to sort out my ESTA. That’s something.
This week was spent between Fermanagh and Belfast. I was able to sneak in a walk along the Lagan towpath close to Shaw’s Bridge.
It was a fresh (read: cold) morning, but the sun was shining and there was walking to be done. Top tip: after rain, stick to the side of the river with the wider path. The other side of the river can get rather mucky. In other words, leave the good shoes at home.
Saturday evening brought Kris back to Kendall as Leah and I went to the SSE Arena to watch the Belfast Giants take on SG Cortina. After eating anything available until we felt ill, we saw the Giants win 6-3. Let’s go Giants, let’s go!
I made two trips to the cinema this week. Firstly to see Room (and don’t get me started on the stale nachos I ate in the theatre with broken heating). I was expecting to cry. Twitter told me I would cry…. I didn’t cry. It’s a sad story, well portrayed. The acting was amazing, especially young Jacob Tremblay.
The second movie I went to see was Dad’s Army. My Mum made me. You do what your Mum says…. you don’t disagree.
Anyway, it was not the most fantastic film ever made. Let’s leave it at that. It has quite the cast!
This week I’ve been keeping on at the gym and made it back on the road. I ran my quickest parkrun of 2016 last Saturday, coming in at 25:10. I’m getting quicker, but I’m not under 25. Or 24. So I’m not going to be dancing about my times yet….soon hopefully!
