I have made it to week two of my ‘weekly’ updates. What a great week it was as well. Why? It is Christmas week and for me, that means doing as little as possible for as long as possible.
I didn’t open my laptop for five days; something unheard of for myself, but some time away from the screen was well needed.
I officially finished work on Wednesday, but not before going for breakfast with the others from the office. We went to Belfast Tea and Coffee Company and I helped myself to a Belfast Bap. Everyone else opted for the more sensible tea and toast combination.
Before going to Fermanagh for the festivities, I squeezed in a highly competitive game of Game of Thrones Monopoly with David and his brother Mark. Sadly, the game did not work out as I planned and I have not been able to lift up the board since.
Christmas Day was spent with my parents and both Grannies. It was a very relaxed day, with a three-meat dinner. I’m drooling thinking about it.
My favourite Christmas activities are as old-school as they get. I am making a very poor attempt at a 2000 piece puzzle (all credit going to Mum and Dad) and between these attempts board games are high on my priority list. Scrabble turned out to be rather interesting; I discovered my parents are sneaky cheaters, with Mum hiding tiles under the sofa and Dad using fabricated words.
It has been a very chilled out week; I did not make it to the cinema sadly, however I have been catching up with some great films from the last year, including Focus (very slick). I may have rewatched Skyfall, which only made me realise what drivel Spectre was in comparison.
This week, I hope to continue relaxing with a little work. I hope your Christmas has been fantastic. Let me know in the comments how you plan to bring in 2016!
Scrabble is the best. Scrabble after a few drinks in teams is hilarious and usually the only way it goes in this house. Sounds like a good week though!

I’m not a Scabble fan. Especially when you are up against experts who know each two letter word allowed. It would take me years to catch up!
