Hello from The Sarah Story HQ!

I hate to be dull, but this last week largely consisted of work. *yawn* to most but I learned a lot and enjoyed myself.

I managed to get myself away from my laptop for a few hours on Friday evening for a meal in my favourite Belfast pizzeria, Opera. If you’re in Belfast and you contemplate having a Dominos or similar, think twice. Go to Opera. Their pizzas are top notch and the cosy atmosphere make it a perfect spot for ‘date night’.

On Saturday, I took part in the penultimate race in the Run Forest Run series at Antrim Castle Gardens. Even though I hadn’t been running (that pesky eye surgery), I managed a personal best of 52:54. I have plans to complete the final race in Castlewellan, so hopefully I’ll improve on that too.

My visit to the cinema this week was to see Spotlight; another big contender for awards season. Again, it was a great film (I shiver at the thought of almost going to see Zoolander 2), and I highly recommend it. The movie was so shocking in parts that the cinema was in stunned silence. Notably, Mark Ruffalo has a strong performance. I suggest you see the film.

Hopefully, I’ll finally get to see Room this week. I’ve been warned to bring tissues. Uhoh.

I did warn that this week was mostly work focussed. Last week I mentioned the possibility of booking a flight. Well, I did just that. I’m going to New York next weekend! I’m so excited and I’m even going to be staying with ‘that fella I met on the train’.

Let me know if there’s anywhere you think I should go when I am there!
