What a busy week. Workwise I mean. I feel I did not get enough time to wind down but isn’t that how it goes after a fortnight off?
I began the week in Fermanagh before I made my way back to Belfast. I had my first office day on Wednesday and I haven’t stopped since; it feels great to get back in the swing of things.
I got myself away from the desk this week to spend Friday afternoon at the Ulster Museum. There is one week left of Colin Davidson’s Silent Testimony exhibition so if you haven’t been, I recommend you do before next Sunday.
I love the Ulster Museum; the exhibitions are varied and it is very easy to spend hours there without any signs of boredom.
This week was a big first for Jordan. Hannah, one of the girls who takes him out and about decided he should learn to ice skate.
This was something I had to see.
We went to Dundonald Ice Bowl and Jordan embraced the challenge. He may be the first person to run on the ice in skates. By the end of the session (after a few falls) he learned a lot.
I went to the cinema to see The Hateful Eight. I am not a Quentin Tarantino fan and I found myself bored for the first ninety minutes (only half of the film). I found the build up to the action took too long, but once it got going I was entertained. It may have helped when Channing Tatum turned up.
There was a slight improvement on my parkrun time; I ran Ormeau parkrun in 26:41. I am still a long way off where I want to be, but I am going in the right direction. I did not push myself to my limits. Instead, I took my time and enjoyed conversing along the way.
There’s me for another week – I hope you all have a fantastic week x
